Twitter is an online social network service.With Twitter you can send and read short 140-character or less messages called "tweets". Twitter has more than 500 million users generating 65 million tweets per day and handles over 800,000 daily search requests. Also has been described as the SMS of the internet.

 Twitter was created in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Noah Glass and launched in July 2006.


Twitter was originally created in California, but is under the jurisdiction of Delaware since 2007. Also It has more than 25 offices around the world.

With Twitter you can make tweets about whatever that you want, also you can check others Twitter's profile like friends, famous people, restaurants, etc.

 If you like someones tweet you can click on "Favorite" or if you want to share that tweet to display on your profile you must be click on "Retweet".


 
You can't have friends on Twitter but you can follow people to see their tweets and the other people can follow you to see your tweets.
